Know what happens to your data

This policy covers the Posnic website, cloud account, purchases and support conversations. The free local desktop edition keeps shop data on the computer where it is installed unless you choose a connected service.

Last reviewed: 4 September 2026. Include the account email and the right you want to exercise; do not email passwords, card numbers or unnecessary identity documents.

01 · Data map

Data we collect

Website visits

Browser and device information, pages visited, approximate location or currency context, referring page, timestamps and diagnostic data.

Account and cloud

Name, email, phone, business details, login and account records, service configuration and activity needed to provide the cloud service.

Orders and payments

Plan, amount, currency, invoice and payment status, provider reference, and any transfer reference or proof you submit for manual verification.

Support and contact

Your contact details, message, attachments and technical context you choose to send when asking for help or a quote.

We tell you when a field is required. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to create the account, process the order or answer the request.

02 · Purpose

How we use information

  • Provide, secure and maintain the website, account, cloud service and support.
  • Process orders, verify payments, issue billing records and manage subscriptions.
  • Respond to messages, diagnose problems and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Understand service performance and improve Posnic when analytics consent is granted.
  • Send service messages and, where permitted, marketing that you can unsubscribe from.
  • Meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce applicable agreements.

We do not sell personal information for money. We may use or disclose information when you ask us to, when it is needed to perform a service or agreement, when law requires it, or for a legitimate security and operational purpose subject to applicable law.

03 · Browser controls

Cookies, analytics and location hints

Essential browser storage supports account sessions, security and your cookie choice. Optional Google Analytics storage is denied by default and enabled only after you select Accept in the cookie bar. Declining analytics does not remove core website functionality.

The website may use browser language and time zone plus a short-lived country or region lookup to select language and show a currency estimate. If a first-party visitor-context service is unavailable, the browser may request approximate country, region, city and currency data from ipapi.co and INR exchange-rate data from open.er-api.com. Display hints may be stored locally for up to 12 hours.

You can change the choice by clearing site data in your browser and choosing again when the cookie bar appears.

04 · Other organisations

Service providers and international transfers

We share only the information needed for providers to host and secure services, deliver email or support, measure consented analytics, localise display, or process the payment route you select. Checkout may be handled by providers shown before payment, such as Razorpay, Lemon Squeezy or PayPal. Their own privacy notices govern the information they collect directly.

Information may be processed outside your country. Where applicable, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards for international transfers. We may also disclose information for a valid legal request, to protect people and services, or during a business reorganisation where appropriate notice and protections apply.

05 · Lifecycle

Retention and security

We retain personal information only while it is needed for service delivery, billing, legal obligations, dispute resolution and security. Retention periods vary by record and applicable law. You may ask about the period for a particular record.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Posnic does not ask you to send card details by email or WhatsApp; use the payment route presented at checkout.

06 · Your choices

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent, opt out of marketing, or complain to a data-protection authority. California residents may also request information about collection and disclosure and exercise applicable deletion, correction and opt-out rights.

We may need enough information to verify that the request relates to you. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain if an exception applies.

Start with one email

State the account email, the request you are making and the country whose law you believe applies.

07 · Children and changes

Children and policy updates

Posnic services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

We may update this policy as services or legal requirements change. The review date at the top identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service or account notice when required.
