Dashboard starting pointConfirm the outlet, finish setup reminders and select the period before interpreting any figure.
This Month viewEvery dashboard summary refreshes to the selected Today, Week, Month or Year period.

Start With Outlet and Period

The dashboard is scoped to the signed-in shop context. Read the outlet name before using its totals, especially when an owner operates more than one branch.

Today is selected on entry. Today, This Week, This Month and This Year refresh the same cards for different periods; they are not independent reports that can be compared without checking the active button.

  1. Open Home -> Dashboard and confirm the displayed outlet or branch.
  2. Choose Today for current-shift orientation, This Week for a short trading view, This Month for the accounting month or This Year for the broad trend.
  3. Wait for the selected button and period labels beside Totals and Profit to update.
  4. Read the figures only after the new period label is visible.
  5. Open the detailed report before exporting, reconciling or making an accounting decision.

Read Totals Correctly

  • Total Sales is sales value for the active period, not cash in the drawer.
  • Total Purchase is stock received or purchased in the active period; it is not cost of goods sold.
  • Total Expenses comes from Cash Book expense records for the same context.
  • Total Tax is tax recorded on sales in the period.
  • Total Cash and Total UPI split payments by method labels recognized as cash or UPI; other tender types are not shown in these two cards.
  • Returns, partial returns, branch context and the chosen period can explain why dashboard and an informal till count differ.
